13 of the toughest teams in Southern California gathered at this lake just as one of the coldest spring fronts in recent history prepared to roar in from the North. With a few drops of rain peppering the field, with snow in the distance, the club hit the water and prepared for 30-40MPH gusts that would last all day and get worse as the day wore on.
Still, this grapevine lake is known for fish that don’t care about the weather and this day was no exception as 12 of the 13 teams weighed in limits, led by the winning limit of the team of Ron Licari and Shelley Singer. Their sack weighed 10.59lbs, led by Ron 2.99lb event big fish. Great job guys!
Taking a close second were Michael Stern and Marcia Thompson with another fine limit weighing 9.82lbs. I think Marcia said she wanted to give all the credit to Stern and his incredible
boat control in the midst of that hurricane. Great job!
Taking third were Mark Poulson and Victor with another nice limit weighing 9.45lbs.
These two always seem to fish together on this lake and I think something is going to be in the by-laws to prohibit that in the future! Either way, great job Gentlemen!
