Club tries to thaw out at Castaic14 teams converged at Castaic’s main ramp on a day
when the lakes weather station recorded a low temperature of 15 degrees! It was the
coldest tournament in club history and even brought back memories of Nebraska for Karl
and he spotted icicles in various spots throughout the lakeshore!
Fending off the cold were Jeff Jue and William Ruiz with a limit weighing 11.04 lbs with a
nice kicker of 3.29lbs. Great job guys, and rumor has it that Jeff, for some reason, was
not fishing in shorts at this event!
Taking second were Brendon O’Dell and Ernie Kost with a limit weighing 10.71 lbs, with a
nice 2.88 lb kicker. I bet Ernie was able to keep up his concentration due to his recent
retirement. Great job fellas!
Taking third were Mark Poulson and Brian Sasahara four fish totaling 9.62lbs. They
caught shallow Ika fish and deep drop shot fish. Great job gentlemen!
Finally, great job to Mike Lander for catching the event big fish!
