Club begins season at Castaic
The 1st event of the 2008 CBC circuit took place out of the West Ramp on January 13th.
Conditions were cold and breezy. The lake had come up an estimated 50 feet from the
previous month and it was expected to be a tough day.
Finishing 1st on this day were new member Tony Capparelli and Eddie Carr with the only
limit of the day, totaling 8.86lbs. I think this shows that the very talented Capparelli will
be a force to be reckoned with this year. Great job guys!
Taking 2nd place were returning member Mike Carpenter, who teamed with Bo Viescas
to bring in two fish totaling 5.64lbs, including the event big fish of 2.48 lbs. Mike said
that these fish tend to bite a lot lighter than the Calicos he has been catching lately.
Great job guys!
Taking third were Mike Lander and Victor Nardiello with two fish weighing 4.82lbs.
Seems that the fish were once again attracted to that incredible Skeeter Boat. Great job
guys!
